1991 - Ricky Skaggs

Ricky Skaggs, along with his band Kentucky Thunder, performed on a USO tour in 1991, which traveled Germany, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Egypt, Egypt-Sinai, Israel and England. This tour was significant as it brought bluegrass and country music to U.S. troops stationed overseas during a time of military engagement.
